Scented candles have the characteristic of having a pleasant and refreshing fragrance. Unlike traditional candles, scented candles belong to a type of craft candles. The use of scented candles requires specific methods and approaches. Simply lighting them up, as some might think, seems to be a waste of resources for experienced candle enthusiasts. So, how can we use them better? Let's find out below.
One: Refrigeration in the refrigerator
If you are using the scented candles for the first time, it is recommended to place them in the refrigerator for about 2-3 hours before lighting. This will slow down the burning speed of the candles and extend their burning time.
Two: Lighted
Choose to light the candle with a match. If the wick is too long, it is recommended to trim it before lighting. After the candle is lit, it will burn for about 2 hours. Only after the surface layer of wax completely melts will a complete wax pool be formed, and there will be no situation of a memory hole.

Three: Calming down
The scented candles cannot be extinguished by blowing them out. Instead, use a professional candle snuffer to push the wick down into the melted wax pool. After it cools down, quickly lift the wick back up.
4: Trimming the wick
If the wick is too long, it will cause the flame to be too high, resulting in situations such as memory holes or black smoke. Generally, it is recommended to trim the wick every 4 hours or so. After the candle has burned down naturally, use a wick trimmer to cut the wick to 0.3 cm.
